Introduction:
Statistical Accounts for Dynamics 365 Business Central lets you create, monitor, and report Non-Financial Data. One thing you need to remember is that even you post the Statistical Journal then it is not going to effect the General Ledger Accounts in any way.
Statistical Accounts provides easy-to-use, non-currency balance General Ledger accounts to record on financial data allowing you to post transactions to these accounts and have a secure, clear audit trail.
- Keep track of important non-financial data, such as mileage, rooms, headcount, and square footage within your G/L account and use this information to run more comprehensive reports.
- Use Statistical Accounts within your Dynamics 365 Business Central account schedules, and other reporting tools, to automate and simplify common reporting requirements.
Entry
To create the New Statistical Account in the Business central, Click on New and then there are 4 fields which needs the description.
- No.: Specifies the Statistical Account Number.
- Name: Specifies the Statistical Account Name.
- Blocked: Specifies that the Statistical Account cannot be used.
- Balance: The total Balance, and if you click on this then you can see the entries.
The Balance will come through the Statistical Accounts Journal. There are also some fields that needs to be discussed.
- Posting Date: Specifies the date of the transaction in the statistical ledger, and thereby the fiscal year and period.
- Document No.: Specifies the number of the related document.
- Statistical Account No.: Specifies the account number that the entry on the journal line will be posted to.
- Description: Specifies a description of the entry.
- Amount: Specifies the amount of the entry.
- Dimensions: We can specify the Dimensions as per our Configuration did in the Dimensions.
Ledger Entry
Once the Entry is being Register in the Journal then we can see the entry in the Statistical Account Ledger Entries.
Reversing the Transaction
Once the entry is registered in the system then we can reverse the transaction. In the Statistical Account Ledger Entries there is an option of “Reverse Transaction”. Click on that.
After that you need to click on the Reverse then the entry will be reversed.
