Allowed posting fields in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central control the exact date ranges when users can post financial transactions, managed via
- General Ledger Setup
- User Setup
General Ledger Setup Fields
1. Allow Posting From : Specifies the earliest date on which posting to the company books is allowed.
2. Allow Posting To : Specifies the last date on which posting to the company books is allowed.
- When I try to do the Entry in July or September then it will give me an Error.
- But Remember that this Error will come on the Basis on Posting Date. (Not on Document Date)
· Now changing the Posting date for August and Document Date as outside range.
3. Allow Deferral Posting From : Specifies the earliest date on which deferral posting to the company books is allowed.
4. Allow Deferral Posting To : Specifies the last date on which deferral posting to the company books is allowed.
- When I am trying to enter the 1 Year Deferrals then it is giving an error for Deferrals range. It is showing User Setup but Currently the error is coming because of General Ledger Setup.
User Setup Fields
Same fields are also available on User Setup, and the only difference is that User setup fields is for individual user level and General Ledger Setup applies the restriction for all the Users.
